Description: The Assistant Professor of Practice, Distilled Spirits which will be a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month fixed-term appointment: 55% Teaching, 20% Outreach, 15% Research, and 10% Service. Note that an Assistant Professor of Practice has academic rank, is eligible for promotion, and is a nontenure-track faculty appointment with a major emphasis on teaching, outreach and professional practice knowledge/skills.
Requirements: The position requires an MS in Food Science, Distillation, Fermentation Science, Chemical Engineering or related field and professional experience in the distilled spirits sector of the food/beverage industry. Teaching experience and demonstration of teaching effectiveness in a relevant field of study in traditional or non-traditional settings.
