Job Title: Assistant Dairy Plant Manager

Description: The Assistant Plant Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Davis Dairy Plant, instruction and supervision of students in the proper processing and cleaning protocols required for the production of dairy products that meet all applicable state and federal regulations and for the day-to-day servicing and maintenance of processing and equipment.
Requirements: A minimum of a high school diploma is required. One to three years of prior experience with dairy plant operations is essential. Must demonstrate a level of mechanical aptitude that would allow for proper operation and trouble shooting of all equipment. A Bachelor of Science in Dairy, or Food Science or equivalent is preferred, ideally a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Manufacturing.

Job Title: Assistant Professor in Food Safety and Consumer Food Protection
Employer: Iowa State University
Description: The Departments of Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management (AESHM) and Food Science and Human Nutrition (FSHN) in collaboration with Extension and Outreach seek applicants for a 12-month tenure-track faculty with expertise in food safety and consumer food production. The position appointment is 50% Extension and Outreach, 25% teaching, and 25% research. FSHN and AESHM have a long-standing collaborative interaction around food safety and consumer food production and faculty members regularly interact with horticulture and animal science faculty. Both departments include faculty with Extension appointments associated with food safety.
