Job Title: Food Marketing Manager

Objective: To coordinate and execute the industry food marketing strategic plan.

Domestic Food Market Development

  • New Food Product Marketing- Develop new markets for food products using dry peas, lentils and chickpeas as an ingredient.

  • Domestic Marketing Committee- Lead staff liaison for Industry Domestic Marketing Committee. Responsible for publishing meeting notices, agendas, and minutes in a timely fashion.
  • Domestic Marketing Files- Coordinate the proper filing of all industry food marketing activities.

International Food Market Development

  • Int’l Food Market Development. The position will help coordinate and execute the international market development efforts of the Council as it relates to human consumption and new product promotion, including travel to provide technical advice and consultation as needed.


Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Fiscal Control- Responsible for the fiscal management of the food marketing activity plan including cost control.
  • Office Operations- Assist management staff in areas of general office operation.
  • Travel. Participate in selected domestic and international activities in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture and USADPLC travel guidelines.


Requirements: Technical qualifications should include experience in food product development, technical seminars and consumer/institutional promotion.
