Job Title: Assistant Professor of Food Microbiology

Description: The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong, externally-funded research program in an area of food microbiology with an emphasis on food safety. Research interests should complement existing Departmental research and Extension activities in microbial food safety, food microbiology, probiotics, food fermentations, and microbiomes.
Requirements: A Ph.D. in food science or a closely related field, with experience in food microbiology, and a strong record of publication. Postdoctoral or industrial experience is highly desirable.
