The Assistant Professor - Meat Science is responsible for developing a recognized research program in meat science and post-harvest technology with emphasis on, but not limited to, pork and beef quality, value-added processing, food safety, and product palatability/consumer acceptance; collaborating with scientists in allied disciplines and specialties as appropriate; developing an aggressive extramural grant support program; supervising personnel in the meat science group and serving as a liaison with Arkansas segments of the meat processing and production industry.

Food Systems & Food Safety Post Doc Fellow

The Food Systems and Food Safety Post Doc is a full-time position in the Department of Horticulture (40 hrs/week). This person will serve as a project leader and cooperate with Dr. Amanda Philyaw Perez on the Local, Regional and Safe Foods Team.
The Post Doc will support, develop, and implement training and technical assistance with stakeholders working to support food systems development across the value chain with an emphasis on value-added food product development. The successful candidate will support the local foods program goals, conduct survey research with clientele, and prepare papers for scientific conferences and publication.
