Spring Short Course Available

Molds and Mycotoxins 2009
In only three days (March 17-19, 2009) you can get 1 hour of credit and learn everything you ever wanted to know about Molds.  What better way to spend your Spring break?  The discounted student fee is $300 and covers a textbook, the course manual, a CD with copies of the presentations, breaks and lunches for three days, and a workshop dinner on March 17th. Remember that you'll also be joining a group of food industry attendees, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to network and learn about different companies where you might one day apply for a job.

The purpose of the course is to provide a broad overview of molds and mycotoxins. It's a good course to take if you're trying to decide whether you are interested in molds, and it also works well for people who are not researching molds, but do need to have the basic knowledge about them.  If you are working with grains in any context, this may be an important course to take.

You can find the course description on-line at fpc.unl.edu/workshops/molds.shtml

To sign up, please get in touch with me: you'll have to pay the course fee and then also register for academic credit. I will provide you with the call number for the course once you've signed up with me. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Also -- if you have friends in Plant Pathology or in other departments who might find this useful, please feel free to forward the message to them.
