Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) at NEBRASKA is a part of an international network of events hoping to increase the awareness of careers in science- and math-related fields among middle school girls. All events share the following goals:
- To increase the interest of young women in mathematics, science, and technology through positive, hands-on experiences.
- To foster awareness of career opportunities in math-, science-, and technology-related careers.
- To provide young women with opportunities to meet and interact with positive role models who are active in math-, science-, and technology-related careers.
EYH at NEBRASKA includes a keynote speaker to share her experiences and offer inspiration to the next generation of talented women. Each participant will also get to experience three hands-on workshops in exciting career areas.
